District 9 – Nimba County: A Better Life
Transparency and accountability are at the heart of everything we do in District 9. We know that trust is earned, and we are committed to ensuring that every resource, every partnership, and every project is managed with integrity.
All financial support is directed through projects, vendors, and implementing partners, ensuring accountability and zero political interference.
Independent oversight is built into the District 9 Delivery Unit, with community leaders, civil society, women, and youth actively engaged in monitoring.
Open reporting is our standard. We publish quarterly and annual reports detailing progress, and support and impact achieved.
Citizen participation is central. From townhalls to community development committees, every citizen has a voice in shaping priorities and tracking progress.
We believe that real transformation only lasts when it is anchored in trust. Our Accountability Promise ensures that every partner — from philanthropies and NGOs to citizens and the diaspora — can see clearly how their contributions are making a difference in District 9.
Independent oversight mechanisms include town chiefs, elders, community development committees, women’s groups, and youth representatives, who monitor and report on projects.
Monitoring & Evaluation staff track impact, publish quarterly/annual reports, and ensure open dashboards for citizens and partners.
Resources are never managed through the Representative’s office. Instead, funds flow directly to implementing partners, projects, or service providers under formal MOUs, guaranteeing clear accountability.
The Governance Structure of District 9 ensures that development is led with transparency, accountability, and community participation. It is designed so that no single office or individual controls resources or decisions, but rather that leadership, delivery, and oversight work hand in hand.
